Chipps Children’s Boutique - children's clothing specialists - was established in 1974 and has become part of the lives of hundreds of children and families on the Mornington Peninsula.
The store has been in its current location in Mt Eliza ( Shop 15 The Strand Centre, Mt Eliza Way, Mt Eliza 3930) for nearly 20 years after relocating from Frankston.
Mt Eliza is located approx 50 minutes south of Melbourne on Port Phillip Bay. It has a great Village atmosphere so if given the chance come into the store and then wander the village.
The current owners, Nicole and David, purchased Chipps from the original founder in 2003. Prior to this Nicole had worked part-time in the store for 6 years after their first child was born.
In March 2009, Chipps Childrens Boutique opened their second store at 44 Main Street, Mornington, VIC 3931. Situated further south along the picturesque Mornington Peninsula, Mornington is a great location with a coastal village atmosphere.
Nicole and David have both worked in retail fashion for many years with a number of major chains. The step into their own business was exciting and gave Nicole great flexibility to work and manage family life. Two School aged children, Nathan and Tia, make life very busy. David maintains his own career but is the sounding board when needed.
It is a real complement to Chipps to now have so many loyal customers buying for their grandchildren and new parents buying for their own children from the store where they were dressed.
Whether shopping for your own children or buying a gift for a child is often difficult. We offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for both adults and children. Our staff are like a big family with most of them working for Chipps for an average of 6 years or more. They are a wealth of knowledge and experience. Mums themselves also offer that practical advice that is sometimes needed.
The Chipps website was launched in 2007 as a way to let customers know what great products we have on offer and make available the same friendly service and expert advise online. We understand everyone leads very busy lives but great childrens clothing is only a phone call away.
